Lighting the future with stories from the past
Sarah has always had a passion for craft and design, driven by a determination to rescue and reimagine pieces that might otherwise end up in landfill. Kirsty, equally a skilled creator, brings a meticulous eye for detail and a deep love of vintage style.
Living opposite each other, it didn’t take long to discover their shared joy of creativity and design. What began as a mutual passion soon grew into a collaboration — and Histerior was born.
Our name is a play on “history” and “interiors,” reflecting our love of breathing new life into the past. It’s also a cheeky nod to a word historically used to diminish women — one we’re proudly reclaiming. For us, Histerior speaks to passion, enthusiasm, and creative drive.
Together, we design and craft distinctive lighting — handmade lampshades and repurposed bases — that honour the character of vintage materials while embracing a more sustainable future. Each piece tells a story, thoughtfully reimagined for modern interiors.
